Earlier this year, we were delighted to be named a winner of Theo Paphitis’ Small Business Sunday (#SBS) initiative.
For a small not-for-profit organisation like ours, being recognised by one of the UK’s most respected entrepreneurs was an incredibly proud moment. But winning #SBS is about far more than receiving an award – it means becoming part of a supportive community of thousands of small businesses across the UK, all sharing ideas, experiences and opportunities to help one another succeed.
Since becoming an #SBS winner in March, we’ve already had the opportunity to attend our first #SBS Bootcamp in London, where we met inspiring business owners, listened to expert speakers and gained valuable insights that we’re excited to put into practice. The event perfectly demonstrated what makes the #SBS community so special – people genuinely want to support each other and celebrate each other’s successes.
At Cards for Good Causes, every card, gift and purchase makes a difference. As a not-for-profit retailer, all of our proceeds help support charities and communities across the UK. That means opportunities like #SBS have an impact far beyond our own organisation. By helping us raise our profile, connect with new partners and build relationships with other businesses, the #SBS community also helps us generate more funds and awareness for the charities and local communities we exist to support.
As we continue to grow our online shop, expand our network of greeting card spinners and bring more pop-up charity Christmas shops to communities across the country, we’re excited about the opportunities that being part of the #SBS community will bring.
We’re incredibly proud to be an #SBS winner and look forward to building new relationships, collaborating with fellow members and continuing to grow our impact together.
Thank you to Theo Paphitis and everyone involved in the #SBS community for such a warm welcome. We can’t wait to see what the future holds.
