Did you know that the tradition of advent calendars dates back to Victorian times? The first advent calendar was produced in Germany in the early 1900’s and since then they have become increasingly popular with options including chocolates, toys, books and other gifts as well as candles and alternative advents.

However the traditional calendar still remains popular today. Nothing can beat the anticipation and excitement of opening the door on the calendar each morning in the count down to Christmas Day!
