This Christmas season, we were delighted to donate traditional Advent calendars to Prince Michael at Kent Court care home, helping to bring a little extra joy and anticipation to the days leading up to Christmas.

Advent calendars are a simple but much-loved tradition, and for many residents they evoke fond memories of Christmases past. Having a small daily moment to look forward to – opening a new window each morning – can make a real difference, adding structure, excitement and a sense of seasonal celebration.

The care home shared with us just how meaningful this gesture was for their residents:

“We are deeply grateful for the generous donation of traditional Advent calendars to our residents. This thoughtful gesture brings a wonderful sense of excitement and joy during the festive season. Each day as they open a new window, our residents are reminded of the spirit of Christmas. Thank you for helping make this Christmas season extra special for those in our care.”

Hearing how such a small act can have such a positive impact is a powerful reminder of why we do what we do. Moments like these capture the true spirit of Christmas – kindness, connection, and thinking of others.

We would like to thank everyone who supports our work throughout the year. Your support helps us continue to share moments of joy like this with communities who truly appreciate them.
