New Community Hub to Tackle Loneliness in Tunbridge Wells

A new initiative in Tunbridge Wells is creating a welcoming space where people can connect, chat, and enjoy company.

The Community Connection Hub, hosted by Cards for Good Causes, will be open at Royal Victoria Place from Thursday 19 March to Saturday 26 April, every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10am to 4pm.
A man and woman sit at a table playing a board game. There are other tables, jigsaws and games around them.
Visitors are invited to drop in, relax, and join in board games, puzzles, or friendly conversation. The hub aims to provide a friendly space where no one needs to feel alone, whether they have an hour to spare or just want a break from their day.

“Sometimes the simplest things – a conversation, a shared game, a smile – can make the biggest difference,” says one organiser.

Cards for Good Causes, known for raising funds for charities through the sale of cards, gifts, and gift wrap, is leading the initiative to also strengthen community connections and tackle social isolation in Tunbridge Wells. 100% of profits from the shop support charity partners.

The hub is also welcoming volunteers to help create a warm, inviting space. No experience is needed, just a willingness to chat and connect with visitors.
