Is it too early to buy Christmas cards?

As summer winds down and the kids prepare to head back to school, we’re already looking ahead to Christmas. Yes, you read that right! Today, we’re officially launching our 2025 range of charity Christmas cards.

We know what some of you might be thinking: “Christmas? Already?” So let’s talk about it – is it really too early to buy Christmas cards? And why do we start selling ours now?

Early planning is on the rise

Believe it or not, thousands of people in the UK start planning for Christmas as early as September (some even earlier). Whether it’s to spread the cost, beat the December rush, or simply to get organised, early-bird shoppers are becoming more and more common.

But when it comes to charity Christmas cards, early availability isn’t just about convenience. It’s about making a difference.

Why do we launch our cards in September?

  1. More time equals more impact

Every card you buy from us supports vital causes. By launching early, we give our supporters more time to:

    • Browse thoughtfully
    • Place orders well before the festive frenzy
    • Share our mission with friends and family

The earlier we start, the more funds we can raise for the charities we work with.

  2. People like to spread the cost

We understand that Christmas can be expensive. Cards, gifts, food, travel – it all adds up quickly. By offering our cards early, customers can spread out their spending and avoid a December budget crunch.

It also gives people time to stock up and avoid last-minute panic buying (or worse—running out of stamps!).

  3. Plenty of time for writing and sending

Let’s be honest, writing Christmas cards takes time. The earlier you buy them, the more enjoyable the process becomes. No rushing. No cramping your hand writing 50 cards in one evening. Just a peaceful evening, a cup of tea, and some festive music.

For those sending abroad or to far-flung family and friends, early access is essential to ensure your cards arrive on time.

So… Is it too early?

In short? No.

There’s no “right” time to start preparing for Christmas. But if you’re someone who loves getting ahead, or simply wants to support a good cause, September is the perfect time to shop for charity Christmas cards
